Welcome to the 2017 WCMA Product Awards application for entry. Over the past 27 years, the WCMA Product Awards Program has bestowed more than 650 awards to window covering manufacturers for their standout products, services and marketing initiatives.

WCMA’s annual awards program marks its 27th year of celebrating manufacturers for their design ingenuity, attention grabbing styles, and technical advancements of window covering products and services over the past year.

Call for Entries 2017

Eligibility

The WCMA Product Awards program is open to all manufacturers and suppliers of window covering products in the United States and Canada. To be eligible, products must have been introduced between December 31, 2016 and December 31, 2017 and have a design originating with the submitting company.  The design must be an integral component of, or be used in conjunction with, products currently offered for sale to the general public as part of the submitting company’s current product line.  Companies may submit as many entries as they wish. Each product and merchandising entry requires a separate form and must be entered into a single category.


Competition

A panel of judges will review all submissions to determine winners within product and merchandising award categories. At their discretion, the judges may select honorable mention within a category or choose to not award a winner in one or more categories. The panel will select the 2017 WCMA Product of the Year. Please note that your submission is complete upon receipt of payment and product or marketing/merchandising sample. The decisions of the judges will be final.

Product entries will be designated by the judges with awards as follows:

  • Best Technical Innovation
  • Best New Style Concept

At their discretion, the judges may:

  • Specify any award designation to best describe manufacturer’s achievement
  • Choose to not award a winner in one or more categories
  • Move a product to a different category without consent from the applicant

Note:

“Green” products entered should be specified as one of the following subcategories:

  • Energy efficiency – products designed to increase energy efficiency or conserve environmental resources.
  • Health and environmental safety – products achieving increased benefit to health or environmental safety.
  • Sustainability – products demonstrating environmental awareness or achievement in the utilization of recycled or sustainable materials.

Entry Procedures and Entry Fees

*Please note that all completed entries must be received at shipping address below on February 16-23, 2017 only. Entries received before or after these dates must be turned away and will not be considered.

Please note shipping instruction for items requiring freight delivery.

In order to qualify, product samples or merchandising/marketing materials must be shipped to WCMA at address provided clearly marked with entry number that is provided by email upon completion of the application and a copy of the entry confirmation.

Each submission should be clearly labeled with entry number and include PAYMENT for the total application fees. Make check payable to the 2017 WCMA Product Awards.


Fee to enter:

WCMA members: US $400 for the first entry, US $350 for each additional entry

Nonmembers: US $650 for the first entry, US $600 for each additional entry

RETURNS OF PRODUCT AND MARKETING SAMPLES:

PLEASE NOTE PICK UP DATES AND TIMES FOR ALL MATERIALS. Materials for return must be picked up March 9-14, 2018.

Materials not picked up by 4:45 pm on March 14, 2018 must be discarded.
